What parents and students have to say about It's Academic.
Dr. Wiedre Grade 11 My wife and I appreciate the way you have set-up It's Academic. My child feels like this is his second home. Whether it is diagnosing a school issue, educating us about learning difficulties, or going with us to visit his school, you have gone beyond our expectations. Our community is just learning about It's Academic and all you have to offer. We are truly blessed to have you and your wonderful staff in the community. Dr. and Mrs. Rawling ************************************************************************************************** Grade 1 We can't thank you enough for everything you have done for Tati and the rest of the family. We look forward to seeing you again. Mr. & Mrs. Anthony **************************************************************************************** Howard, This is the second consecutive year that I have referred students to you who are doing poorly at our private school. We appreciate how quickly you remediate their issues. In one specific situation, we intended to have a student repeat the year. Within three months, the student was at grade level and we decided to promote her. It is very nice to know that there are knowledgeable AND honest people like you that can provide support for my school and its students. Sincerely, Mrs. S. *************************************************************************************** It's Academic Grade 10 Thank you so much for pointing out my child's visual perceptual problems. After all the years he has been in school, no one has recognized that this area was affecting his academic performance. Others said he was lazy or had ADD. I knew that he was smart but also realized something was wrong. God bless you! Mrs. Radford **************************************************************************************** It's Academic Grade 8 Your recommendation to see Dr. Mc Mains was right on. My daughter needed glasses and vision therapy. Both have made a huge difference in her life. Thank you. Mrs. George **************************************************************************************** Grade 2 Leslee, You are a wonderful teacher. You have helped my son's confidence and improved his math and writing skills. He enjoys coming to see you. I was afraid that he would hate tutoring. We appreciate your kindness and patience. Thank you. Mr. and Mrs. Arkling. **************************************************************************************** Grade 6 Dr. Wiedre Thank you for attending my son's IEP. You support was important in getting what we needed from the school. Thank you for the hours you have spent on the phone and in your office giving advice. Our family very much appreciates your insight and experience. Mr. and Mrs. Elan **************************************************************************************** Grade 3 My son just scored proficient on the STAR Testing. This is a huge improvement. I remember that he was reading 40 words per minute with low comprehension when he started with you. He now reads at 190 words per minute with 70 % or better comprehension. He is more confident and happier in school. Thank you. ************************************************************************************************************** Professor Wiedre Thank you for the recommendation. It was so nice of you to take the time to write about my abilities and potential. I am still undecided about the future, but I am definitely working on my application for SDSU College of Education, as well as Police and Fire Department. Your class and your teaching methods have weighed heavily on my consideration of going into education. I really enjoyed your class. Thank you for your time and generosity. It is all very much appreciated. Andrea ************************************************************************************************************* Professor Wiedre I am a former student from your SPED 450 class. This is a big thank you for the class and for the suggestion to use My Reading Coach with one of my students. The school believes that he has auditory processing issues. When I met him, he was functioning two grades below level. He couldn't spell and couldn't use decoding skills to sound out words. He was also exhibiting behavior problems that I believe were signs of hopelessness. I have worked with him for the last three months of the past school year and all through the summer. He did the program every night. We also incorporated writing into his routine. He has started middle school and according to his teacher, he is average!!!!!!!!!!!! His mom is so happy and so am I. I can't thank you enough!!!! Sincerely Alyson ************************************************************************************************************* |
